About Tom Gilroy (Tom Gilroy)

Tom Gilroy has written, directed and produced two award winning films--the short TOUCH BASE (IFC/BRAVO), and the critically-acclaimed feature SPRING FORWARD (IFC/MGM) starring Liev Schreiber, Ned Beatty, Ian Hart and Campbell Scott. His plays--most notably THE INVISIBLE HAND and HALCION DAYS have been produced in several US cities and around the world. With his theatre company Machine Full (co-founded with Lili Taylor and Michael Imperioli) Gilroy has mounted over a dozen critically acclaimed productions, most recently Hamlet, starring Richard Harris, Jared Harris, and Lili Taylor. His screenplay LOCATION was written during two fellowships to The MacDowell Colony and developed at The Sundance Institute’s Directors and Screenwriters Labs and is in development with Journeyman Pictures. His film BAD MUSLIM (co-written with Ghazi Albuliwi) is in development with Ted Hope at This Is That, IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY is in development with Caroline Kaplan and Ellen Barkin at Applehead Pictures, TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS is in development at The Group Entertainment, and his TV series CIVILIZED is in development at Michael Imperioli’s Archangela Productions.
